Grand Banks 36 Sedan fitted with 2 new Volvo Penta diesel D4 2×260hp engines.

April 04th, 2008 | Category: Engine Refits

2nd April 2008 After 4 month of hard work in drydock, Puerto Colon the Big Game Fishing Boat Lema 3 returned to its Berth with a fresh look!Total Marine and Volvo Penta Tenerife installed two new Volvo Penta Diesel Engines with Electronic Controls, new Shafts and new Props. The Electricall installation has been removed and newly refitted. The Engine room has been arranged and repainted which gives the client more room to inspect his Engines. Fuel tanks were removed, cleaned and painted. The Galley and cabin had major refits and a new fridge, gas cooker, water heater and sink installed. The Teak flooring had 5 coats of Varnish and looks like a mirror. The Hull has been treated to protect against Osmosis using four coats of Hempel High Protect, two coats of Hempel Light Primer, two coats Hempel Antifouling. All were applied using Total Marines Titan Airless Spray System. Our maintanance team compounded and waxed the freeboard giving it a brilliant shine. Sea cocks, Bilge pumps, Water pressure pumps, Electical Toilet, Valves and hoses have been replaced. The first sea trial went very well with a cruising speed of 11 knots and maximum speed of 14 knots. Fuel consumption and noise levels have been reduced thanks to the common rail engine making it more environmentally friendly. Total Marine Canary Islands S.L and Volvo Penta Tenerife C.B.P.J Servicios y maquinarias proudly hand over this vessel back to its happy owner.
